How To Get Through a Tough Day with Two Under Two.

Some days motherhood can feel like a marathon, especially with two under two. I’ve had plenty of those days, and here’s what gets me through them:

1. Breathe

Take deep breaths when you feel overwhelmed, and remember that this day won’t last forever. There was a beginning and there will be an end to it at bedtime.

2. Focus on the Basics

Even if you feel like you aren’t doing your best, if everyone is fed and safe, it’s a win! Just make sure you’re fed too, there’s nothing that can plummet your mood faster than hunger!

3. Break it Down

Make a list of everything that needs to be done, then take on one task at a time instead of thinking about everything at once. In fact, don’t even think about the next task while you complete one. Be mindful and keep your thoughts on your current task.

4. Take Breaks

When the kids nap, give yourself time to sit, scroll, or nap. You’re allowed to and should rest when you can so that you feel present and at your best when you need to be on.

Remember, tomorrow is a new day, and you’re stronger than you think. What helps you survive the tough days? Comment below!
